Records of the American Iris Society
This collection consists primarily of the correspondence files of Robert Swan Sturtevant, the first Secretary of the American Iris Society. Principal correspondents include John C. Wister and Harry H. Everett. Also included are minutes, bulletins, a scrapbook, and photographs of various members and specific Society events. There are loose seed catalogs devoted entirely to the Iris as well as an index of seed catalog pages created by a member of the AIS.
Records of the Bayard Cutting Arboretum
This collection consists of records from the files of William Jacob Robbins, Director of the New York Botanical Garden from 1937-1958, and William Campbell Steere, Director from 1958-1977. Both were members of the Board of Trustees with the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
Mary Flagler Cary photograph collection
Black and white, color, and contact printed photographs of areas including the Cary estate, now known as the Cary Arboretum (Millbrook, N.Y.) and New York City; includes handwritten notes.
