This collection consists entirely of the correspondence related to Dr. Becker's professional life. It is divided into two series and was organized by Dr. Becker himself. Although Dr. Becker was employed by the NYBG only from 1958 to 1974, all correspondence related to his professional life is included herewith and many correspondents began their relationships with Dr. Becker before he came to the NYBG and continued to correspond with him until his death.
