Series 4: Photography, 1881 - 1925
Scope and Contents
This series consists of photographs of the Knight family, including portraits of Elizabeth, both alone and with her mother. It also features portraits of Nathaniel Lord Britton and one of John Strong Newberry (1892), inscribed to Elizabeth Britton. Other photo subjects include unidentified nature scenes of lakes, meadows, farmlands, woodlands, and other scenic and floral subjects. Additionally, there are five scrapbooks containing photographs of Central Park, Elizabeth Britton’s family and friends, and plant specimens.
