Scope and Contents

This series contains syllabi, lectures, reading lists, overhead transparencies, and other material created and used by Charles Peters for classes he taught at Columbia University’s Center for Environmental Research and Conservation (now the Earth Institute Center for Environmental Sustainability) and at Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (now the Yale School of the Environment). The bulk of this series documents lectures for his Introduction to the Ecology of Tropical Trees and Forests course, but it also includes material for other classes he taught on economic botany, indigenous silviculture, and tropical forest management.
